The travel company asked the woman to lose her mind to change her surname

London (Monitoring Desk) A travel company asked a woman for 700 pounds (about 1 lakh 91 thousand rupees) to change her 'surname' after marriage in the United Kingdom. According to The Mirror, this woman named Sharon Barrett is recently married and wanted to go on vacation with her husband.

When Sheeran approached the travel company for booking, they demanded a huge fee for changing the surname. Sheeran told that we had already paid 2200 pounds to the company for booking tickets and other expenses, after which he told that I have to pay 700 pounds for the change of surname. The company also warned that if they canceled the trip instead of paying the fee, they would lose their £2,200 refund.

58-year-old Sheeran said, "We budgeted £1,400 for this trip and the travel company asked for half of it just to change the surname." We had to pay this amount unwillingly because not only would we not be able to go on vacation, but our original money would also be wasted. Later on realizing the mistake, the company gave us a 'refund'."
