The Manley Passport Index has published a list of the best passports for the year 2023, as reported by Daily Pakistan Global. The list places Japan's passport first, with 193 countries offering visa-free entry.


On this list, Pakistan's passport ranks 106 out of 109, with only 8 countries offering visa-free entry and 36 providing facilities for obtaining a visa upon arrival. Singapore, South Korea, Germany, Spain, and Luxembourg are the best passports, followed by Finland, Italy, and Luxembourg. They are currently ranked fourth.

This list has Australia, Denmark, Holland, Sweden, France, Ireland, Portugal, and Great Britain in sixth place. In a similar vein, Malta, Australia, Canada, Belgium, the Czech Republic, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, and the United States are ranked seventh and eighth, respectively. Additionally, Lithuania and Slovakia's passports, which are ranked tenth and ninth, are listed as the strongest.

With 59 countries accepting Indian passports without a visa, India ranks 85th on the list. From the bottom of the list, Pakistan comes in third. Among the weakest passports, Pakistan is followed by Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. It has been said that Afghanistan's passport is the weakest in the world.
